4-H and FFA Dairy CATTLE SHOW

Registration/Weigh-In 10:30 a.m.

RULES:
  1. Participants are limited to 4-H and FFA members in good standing living in Calloway County or surrounding Kentucky counties.
  2. All animals must be certified by the County Agent or Agriculture Teacher.
  3. All animals must be registered in the names of the 4-H or FFA members showing them, and their registration and transfer papers shown to the superintendent of the show.
  4. All animals not halter broke and fitted for the show will automatically be placed in the "White ribbon or fair" group.  This decision will be made by the judge.
  5. 4-H and FFA members must have owned the animals before June 1, 2012.
  6. The animals will be judged on the Danish system.  Very Good or Blue Ribbon (3x), Good or Red Ribbon (2x), Fair or White Ribbon (1x), and in no case will prizes exceed $10 for Blue Ribbon, $7 for Red Ribbon, and $4 for White Ribbon.
  7. The Showmanship Contest is open to all Calloway County 4-H and FFA Exhibitors each year.
  8. The Showmanship Contest will be divided into a Junior and Senior Division.  Below 14 years as of January 1st of the current year - Junior Division, and above 14 years as of January 1st of the current year - Senior Division.  No distinction on 4-H or FFA.  Showmanship by age.
  9. Prize money distributed by the Danish System.  If prize money exceeds x, then x will be reestablished and corrected not to exceed the prize money allotted.

  2. Intermediate Calf, December 1, 2011 to February 29, 2012
  3. Senior Calf, September 1, 2011 to November 30, 2011

  4. Summer Yearling, June 1, 2011 to August 31, 2011

  5. Junior Yearling, March 1, 2011 to May 31, 2011

  6. Intermediate Yearling, December 1, 2010 to November 30, 2010

  7. Senior Yearling, September 1, 2010 to November 30, 2010

Junior Champion

  2. Senior Two Year Old, September 1, 2009 to February 28, 2009
