4-H and FFA BEEF CATTLE SHOW
Saturday, June 19, 2010 - Registration/Weigh-In 8:00 a.m. - Show 9:00 a.m.

RULES:
  1. Show will be one (1) day duration Saturday, June 19, 2010.  Registered and Commercial Beef Cattle Show.
  2. Animals should be on grounds by 8:00 a.m. and judging will start at 9:00 a.m.   Weigh-in begins at 8:00 a.m.
  3. Place: Market/Show Barn, Murray-Calloway County Fairgrounds.
  4. Exhibitors shall present health certificates upon entry of animals.
  5. Heifer classes and steer classes are included. No bull classes
  6. Registration papers of animals must be presented to the entry clerk before show.
  7. The show committee reserves the right to make any change deemed necessary. All announcements the day of the show take precedence over all previous announcements.
  8. Premiums offered for the Show - $400.
  9. Entry fee - $3.00 per animal.
  10. Facilities to keep animals overnight are available with prior notification. Ask for Ginny Harper (270) 753-1456.
  11. Classes will be judged by age; classes will be combined if numbers warrant.
*Prize money will be awarded for the Grand Champion if 15 head or more are exhibited.

  1. Jr. Calf, born after January 1, 2010.
  2. Sr. Calf, born Sept. 1, 2009 thru Dec. 31, 2009.
  3. Summer Yearling born May 1, 2009 thru Aug. 31, 2009.
  4. Jr. Yearling, born Jan. 1, 2009 thru April 30, 2009.
  5. Sr. Yearling, born Sept. 1, 2008 thru Dec. 31, 2008.
  6. Heifer Champion (no money)
  7. Cow Class (any age)
  8. Cow-Calf Pair (Cow at any age with nursing calf at side)
  9. Grand Champion Breeding Stock
  10. Steer Classes divided by weight (light, medium, and heavy)
  11. Grand Champion Steer
  12. Showmanship Junior
  13. Showmanship Senior
    Grand Champion for Beef Production
    Reserve Grand Champion for Beef Production
    Grand Champion for Steer

Prize money distributed by Danish system. If prizes exceed $400, then x will be re-established and corrected not to exceed the prize money allotted.
