9th ANNUAL DOG AGILITY CONTEST

GENERAL RULES:
- All dogs exhibited must be shown by owner.
- All dogs must be on a leash or otherwise restrained at all times.
- Dogs may wear collars in all classes. It must be a buckle-type collar.
- Each exhibitor may enter 2 dogs.
- All exhibitors may walk their dogs through the course on lead prior to competition.
- Exhibitors will be given time in the hour prior to competition to walk course without dogs to develop their running strategy.
- This is not a sanctioned event of any association at this time.
- If entries warrant classes will be divided by age. Cloverbud (under nine), Junior (9 to 13), Senior( 14-19), Open (18 and above).
- Ribbons will be given to all participants. Prize money will be distributed by the Danish System. If prize money exceeds $150, then x will be re-established and corrected not to exceed the prize money allotted. Blue -$8, Red-$6, White-$4 Ribbons will be awarded as follows:
Blue - 10 or fewer faults |
Red - 15 or fewer faults |
White - more than 15 faults |
Special awards will be given for runs with zero faults. There will be no competitive placements in agility classes.

Pulling, tugging, aiding or hindering the dog with a leash
Knocked down poles
Missed contacts
On and off the table
Time over the standard course time
CLASSES:
- First-timers Agility
- For First Year agility handlers. On-lead.
- Handlers can go over the jumps with their dogs.
- Obstacles may include Low A-frame, dog walk board, open tunnel, table, jumps
- Agility 1
- On-lead class. Handlers who have never competed in outside agility tests.
- Course: Simple horseshoe or AM@ design
- Obstacles may include Low A-frame, dog walk board, open tunnel, table, tire, collapsed tunnel, jumps
- Competitive Agility
- Off-lead class. Handlers who have competed in outside agility tests with their dogs may show that dog in this class only.
- Obstacles may include A-frame, dog walk, open tunnel, table, tire, collapsed tunnel, 6 weave poles, teeter, and jumps
- Competitors Choice
- No Pre-determined route-each obstacle assigned point value in 2 minutes.

Participants (and anyone attending with the participant) will
be charged fair admission at $10.00 per person, but will not be charged an
entry fee for the show. If participants pre-register by no later than
Tuesday, May 27th the fair admission fee will be waived for the participant
and he/she will only be charged a $2.00 entry fee. If a pre-registered
participant chooses to enter other parts of the fair he/she will be charged
the $10.00 admission fee.
