Murray Calloway County Fair Queen Pageant Rules
Saturday, June 6, 2009
Woodmen of the World Building
330 CC Lowry Drive (Off North 4th Street)

Pageant Begins: 2:00 p.m.

Contestants must check-in by 12:00 p.m.

Contestant Interviews will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Winner will receive various prizes.

Miss Murray-Calloway Co. Fair Queen Rules

  1. Contestant must be single, never married, never had a marriage annulled and never  had children.
  2. Contestant must be a resident of Kentucky.
  3. The entry fee is $50.00 per contestant and must be received along with application by  May 30th. Applications will be accepted after May 30th with a $10.00 late fee.
  4. Parents and guests will be charged a $5.00 admission fee at the door.
  5. Contestant must have reached her 16th birthday by Oct. 31st, and shall not have reached her 22nd birthday by Oct. 31st in which the year the pageant is held.
  6. Contestant can only represent one fair and cannot have been a winner previously in the state Kentucky pageant.
  7. Contestants will compete in interview, swimwear, evening gown and be asked an interview question on stage.
  8. Contestant must represent the fair in all events during the week of the fair, as well as at the Little Mister and Miss state competition held in August in Louisville KY.
  9. Contestant winning will be eligible to enter the state pageant in January held in Louisville KY. If cannot represent the fair the runner-up will take position of the winner in the state pageant.
  10. State pageant paperwork must be completed and returned to the pageant chair within 30 days after the pageant date.  If the paperwork is not completed and returned during this timeframe the runner-up will be sent to compete at the state pageant.
  11. The Murray-Calloway County Fair Queen Pageant will abide by all Miss Kentucky County Fair Queen Pageant Rules.  For a complete listing of the state rules, please click the following link http://www.kafs.net/pageants/rules.php?tid=1.
Failure to abide by these rules will result in disqualification and the runner-up will take the title of Miss Murray-Calloway County Fair Queen.
